Two-thirds of this heat is used to supply processes at temperatures above 150\u00b0C, such as distillation, dyeing, bleaching, or material transformation processes. The Orennia chart above shows a more detailed breakdown of consumption across different sectors, together with their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"1135\"><strong data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"940\">Concentrated solar power<\/strong> (CSP) is perfectly positioned to supply heat up to 500\u00b0C. This makes <strong data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1037\">CSP for industrial heat<\/strong> particularly relevant for industries that account for up to 15% of global CO2 emissions, such as:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1208\">\n<li data-section-id=\"a2cmzp\" data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1164\">Plastics and chemicals<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"wv42wf\" data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1175\">Paper<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ysehd\" data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1196\">Food processing<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1fivsxd\" data-start=\"1197\" data-end=\"1208\">Textiles<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1686\">In Spain, clean technologies for industrial processes play an important role in these sectors through electricity consumption and the use of biomass to supply heat. However, fossil fuels (mostly natural gas, together with small amounts of coal and petroleum products) provided between 40% and 76% of energy in 2021, according to the IEA chart below.
